چکیده

Background: Hypertension is one of the most common diseases with increasing morbidity and mortality. HTN associated cardiovascular risk factors such as insulin resistance (IR) hyperlipidemia. Recently, triglyceride-glucose (TyG) index has been proposed a marker for resistance. Aims Objectives: This study aimed to assess TyG index, triglyceride high-density lipoprotein ratio, other lipid ratios in patients. Materials Methods: The present was conducted on 200 subjects categorized into two groups. 100 hypertensive patients were considered cases healthy individuals controls. Serum sample used estimation total cholesterol, triglycerides (TG), cholesterol (HDL-C). Low-density (LDL) calculated. TG/HDL ratio Blood pressure (BP) recorded. Results: In this, BP, TG, LDL, Very low-density Non-HDLC, TC/HDL increased HDL HDL/LDL decreased. Study parameters positively correlated except HDL, ratio. Conclusion: concludes that significantly their correlation blood pressure.

Triglyceride to high-density lipoprotein cholesterol and low-density lipoprotein cholestrol to high-density lipoprotein cholesterol ratios are predictors of cardiovascular risk in Iranian adults: Evidence from a population-based cross-sectional study

Background: The superiority of TG/HDL-C and LDL-C/HDL-C ratios in predicting  CVD risk is a matter of debates. Thus, the objective of this study was to compare TG/HDL-C and LDL-C to HDL-C ratios in predicting the risk of CVD events. Methods: In a population-based cross-sectional study, 567 representative participants aged 40 years or older were entered in the study in Babol, North of Iran. The...

Visceral adiposity index and triglyceride/high-density lipoprotein cholesterol ratio in hypogonadism.

Background Cardiometabolic risk is high in patients with hypogonadism. Visceral adiposity index (VAI) and triglyceride/high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (TG/HDL-C) ratio are the practical markers of atherosclerosis and insulin resistance and independent predictors of cardiaovascular risk. To date, no study has evaluated VAI levels and TG/HDL-C ratio in hypogonadism. Subjects and methods A ...

Postheparin plasma triglyceride lipases. Relationships with very low density lipoprotein triglyceride and high density lipoprotein2 cholesterol.

Hepatic triglyceride (HTGL) and lipoprotein lipase (LPL) probably have major roles in the removal of triglyceride from triglyceride-rich lipoprotein and in the formation of high density lipoprotein (HDL). However, no population-based study of their activity and relationship to lipoprotein lipid levels has been reported. To determine these relationships, we recalled 33 men and 17 women of a rand...

The triglyceride-to-high density lipoprotein cholesterol ratio in overweight Korean children and adolescents

PURPOSE The triglyceride-to-high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (TG/HDL-C) ratio has recently been reported as a biomarker of cardiometabolic risk in obese children and adolescents. The purpose of this study is to describe the TG/HDL-C ratio and related factors in overweight and normal weight Korean children and to evaluate whether the high TG/HDL-C ratio is associated with insulin resistance ...

Triglyceride to High-Density Lipoprotein Cholesterol Ratio Predicts Cardiovascular Outcomes in Prevalent Dialysis Patients

Triglyceride to high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (TG/HDL-C) ratio, an indicator of atherogenic dyslipidemia, is a predictor of cardiovascular (CV) outcomes in the general population and has been correlated with atherosclerotic events. Whether the TG/HDL-C ratio can predict CV outcomes and survival in dialysis patients is unknown. We performed this prospective, observational cohort study and...
